Beijing Hutong

The Hutongs are alleyways and narrow streets in Beijing. My hostel was walking distance from them so one morning I decided to wander around and just take some pictures. They are definitely more organized than the alleyways in Xi’an which felt like a maze.

The first time I went was one night in search for snacks but the place was rather empty probably due to the holidays but it was more crowded during the day time. The main road felt very “touristy” but once I got off it I got see some local life. I really loved the variety of doors.
